In short: O Feriado requires no sign-up and does not collect your name, email or phone number. Below is a detailed explanation of what happens to visitors' data.

1. Who is responsible

O Feriado is a product of DANTAI, CNPJ 00.176.524/0001-38 (Brazil), the controller of the personal data processed on this site under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, LGPD).

2. What data is processed

Access logs

Like any website, the server automatically logs technical data for each visit: IP address, date and time, page visited, browser and operating system. These logs keep the site running and secure and are kept for at least the period required by Brazilian law (Marco Civil da Internet), which is 6 months.

Language choice

On your first visit to the home page, the approximate country of your IP address is looked up in a database installed on our own server, only to open the site in Portuguese, Spanish or English. The result is not stored. The country database is "IP to Country Lite" by DB-IP, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. The chosen language is stored in the lang cookie for one year.

What is not collected

The site has no sign-up, login, forms, search or third-party analytics tools. Apart from the language cookie, it stores nothing in your browser.

3. Cookies and ads

Today the site only uses the lang cookie (language) and uses no advertising or analytics cookies. In the future it may show Google AdSense ads; in that case Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to show and measure ads, and this policy will be updated beforehand. Where the law requires it, your consent will be asked for.

Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com and choose the ads you see at adssettings.google.com. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

4. Purposes and legal basis

  • Running and securing the site (access logs, language): compliance with a legal obligation and legitimate interest (art. 7, II and IX, LGPD).
  • Ads, when there are any: consent, where required, or legitimate interest (art. 7, I and IX, LGPD).

5. Who the data is shared with

  • The hosting company, which runs the site's server.
  • Google, only if and when there are ads, as described in section 3.
  • Authorities, when there is a court order or legal obligation.

Data is not sold. Some of these providers may store data outside Brazil, with the safeguards set out in the LGPD.

6. Your rights

Under the LGPD (art. 18), you may request confirmation that we process your data, access, correction, anonymization or deletion of unnecessary data, information about data sharing and withdrawal of consent. To do so, use the channel on the Contact page. You may also complain to Brazil's data protection authority (ANPD) or to the authority in your country.

7. Children and teenagers

The site is informational and does not knowingly collect data from children or teenagers.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. The date of the latest version always appears at the top of this page.
